What is AI operational governance?
AI operational governance is the set of policies, processes, and controls that define how AI tools and systems are used, monitored, and documented inside your everyday operations.
How does AI governance fit with our existing compliance frameworks (ISO, PCI, OSHA, DOT, FAA)?
AI governance should integrate with—not replace—your existing compliance systems. If you already follow ISO 9001, PCI DSS, OSHA, DOT, FAA, or similar standards, we help you extend those frameworks to cover AI-enabled processes. That means updating your documentation, adding AI-specific controls to your RACI structures, and ensuring your existing audit and quality management systems can handle AI use cases. The goal is to make AI governance feel like a natural extension of the process discipline you already have.
We already have AI tools in use is it too late to put governance in place?
It's not too late. Most organizations we work with already have AI embedded in operations before anyone mapped usage or defined controls. The key is to start with a clear, honest assessment: where is AI being used, by whom, and for what decisions? Once you have that map, you can build governance around real usage rather than trying to enforce theoretical policies. It's better to govern AI that's already working than to slow everything down while you wait for "perfect" policies.

What's the difference between AI governance and AI ethics?
The simplest way to distinguish the two: AI ethics is the "what should we do," and AI governance is the "how do we make sure we actually do it."
